Now before you get all excited I am about to upgrade a friends computer. Basically hes given it to his gf and i'm not really allowed to spend any money.

I think its something like an Athlon 1800 and I dont see any reason to upgrade, because it would mean new chip, new memory and new MB.

What I am thinking is definitely 256mb more ram. I dont know how hes gotten away with 256mb only!

For all you wise souls its about the video card. MB will be AGP and I dont want to spend anything more than about £45.

Current is GEforce MX4000 I think.

Far as I can see he can choose.

1. A Geforce4ti4600 or 4800 128MB 8x AGP.

2. Something like a 9600 radeon or 9700.

3.Something like an X600 or maybe a GEForce 6200 with tubo cache?

Which one?

I've been looking at gettingthis (http://www.spotonuk.com/Srchinfo.asp?Itemcd=1110362&Frm=S&MainCat=Components&SrchTyp=&Search=xpertvision) one. A 256Mb FX5500 for less than £40.
