Just looking at the stats for my website and i noticed a sudden increase in guests. They have roughly tripled in the last 2 days :?
There are a lot of entries that look like this: United Kingdom
user-5593.lns6-c8.dsl.pol.co.uk (ip address removed))
xthost.info/vidster9/HTML/tips&tricks.htm
xthost.info/vidster9/HTML/tips&tricks.htm
xthost.info/vidster9/HTML/guides.htm
Each one comes, views two pages for roughly 1 1/2 mins and leaves. Each one uses the full page URL as well, not a lot of guests do that.

Could this be an attack of spam bots? (not that it would do them much good)

[EDIT] Just noticed my link isn't working either :( Maybe some sort of spam attack on XTHost has clogged their servers up?)

can you get hold of the raw server logs? you'll get more information then including the browser string, which will help to find out if they are bots.

it could just be google.
