Reason for Rehome / Sale
Reducing my collection/making room
Time Scale – How Urgent?
Not very, don't need to sell them anytime soon.
Sale Amount
£50ea or £90 for a non related pair
Location
Sheffield S13, but will deliver for a fee.
Age & Sex
One male, one female, both born this year (Exact DOB unknown, presumed to be around may-june)
Breed/Mix
Male is Boa Constrictor Imperator (BCI) the female is a BCI x BCC cross, with a quite distinct shade of red in her tail.
Approximate size now and full grown size
Now both are around 18", full grown size depends on your feeding schedule. Male 6-8ft, female 7-9ft.
Viv size needed
These will go in a 50L Really Useful Box for now, as adults they will need as a minimum a vivarium of 5ftx2ftx1ft (wxdxh)
Micro chipped/ Breeders paperwork
Not applicable
Vaccinated & Wormed
Not applicable
Any Current or Historical Health or Psychological Issues
Not applicable
Temperament/Any handling issues
Female is super tame and very inquistive, as long as usual principles for handling boids (i.e. not handling after feeding or when in a shed cycle). The male was very nervous when he first came here but is much better now. Normally you can lift him out, occasionally you may have to hook him out or use gloves. At the moment its all been bluff and bluster and I'm yet to recieve a bite.
Beginners reptile, moderate or experienced only
I'd class these as a beginner-moderate snake, not more agressive than a corn or royal but because of the size they can reach you should take into consideration the space requirements. Do you really have room for 2 x 5ft vivariums? if you do these make awesome display pieces as they very rarely hide.
Easy to feed - Live/dead food - herbivore/omnivore/carnivore/insectivore
Very easy to feed, currently taking one defrosted small adult mouse every 10-14 days (I don't feed on regular days).
Good or Bad with Children - Dislike of Men or Women - Destructive Behaviour
Not applicable.
General information that you can share
These are brilliant animals, as mentioned I'm in no rush to get rid, I could just do with the extra room to add variety to my corn collection.
Any questions, please feel free to PM me.
