Steelers have recently been taken over by a Welsh gent named Bob Phillips.
Having been in decline for 4 years, this is great news for a renewed Steelers. The All-New The Star Sheffield Steelers open their campaign on September 10th against Nottingham Panthers, and are then home against Panthers on Sept 11th at Sheffield Arena.
Coach Paul Heavey is signing players thick and fast including STEELERS LEDGEND "ROCKET" RON SHUDRA. It is a return of the old times at the Arena, and will be a great night out for everyone.
If you used to watch the Steelers you should really try again this season, the Steelers have made a real step forward over this summer, and things have changed.
With alot of signings still to be made the squad is currently:
Jody Lehman (who won the Grand Slam with Coventry last year)
Ron Shudra (Shefffield hockey LEGEND!)
Simon Butterworth (local lad)
Gavin Farrand (local lad)
Greg Wood (local lad) - Also going to play for Scimitars.
Paul Sample (british lad from Belfast).
Warren Tait (spent last year with Cardiff Devils, british guy).
Phil
