I'm a couple of years or so out of date so it may be that this is already being done but....

I can't understand why the UK government isn't pushing the cash saving over the environment saving.
Lets get it straight, most people either don't give a rats about global warming or it's unreal to them. A lot more would respond to saving cash than 'green' talk.

Hi

I have got those energy saving bulbs althrough my spot.

I had 15 x 100watt bulbs then there was 10 x 60 watt bulbs.

One energy bulb that uses only 20 watts of electric gives off 100 watts of light so if you have 5 energy bulbs on ( at 20 watts each ) then that is the same as 1 x 100 watt bulb. You will be getting 500 watts of light for only 100 watts of electric in use.

I also have a two tarrif electric meter where after a certain time at night it goes on to cheap rate. My washer and dishwasher has a 3 hour delay on it so I tell it to come on when it is cheap rate. I even put a timer on the dryer so that goes in the cheap rate period as well. But there are loads of things you can do. Have a look at the link I put up in the above thread as that had a whole load of stuff on.
