Not often I feel compelled to write about somewhere I ate, but the New Zing Vaa takeaway on Ecclesall Road was perhaps the best Chinese I have ever eaten.

Everything I had was lovely, great ribs, prawn crackers, schezuan chicken and chow mein (which had lovely chunks of veg).

Just thought I would recommend it

where is it?

On ecclesall road, just past hunters bar roundabout, on the right opposite somerfields. Might be 1 or 2 quid more expensive but the food is incredible.

It's the only chinese takeaway we'll use.

Far, far better than anywhere else we've tried.

I really like the fact you can see the food being cooked.

I'm starting to salivate now!

I actually didn't think it was much more expensive. I went to the other Chinese further down the road towards Hunter's Bar (can't remember the name) the week before and (for the first time ever) threw a takeaway in the bin as it was just grease. This place was more expensive than New Zing Vaa.

I think the best thing was that it was a busy Saturday night, but they had 3 chefs on and had cooked my food in the little time it took for me to walk to the off license and back. And you could taste that it was fresh.

Only thing I wish they had done was put a menu in the bag!!!

I love that place too! I think the food there is better quality than in a lot of restaurants I've been to (and I've been to most in town) :D

NZV is the only Chinese takeway we rate near Fulwood.
