I have just started doing photography part time (a bit of portrait work, events coverage etc) and I'm eanting to get insurance. However the only quote I've had was for £600+ which for a part time start up is a little bit expensive!

I wondered if any of you had any recommendations about having insurance(especially for events) and if you have it who you use?!

Thank you very much!

What do you want the insurance to cover?
Once you work that out people will be able to help!

I was using E&L which gave me cover for equipment and £1Mil. public liability cover (ie should someone get injured by me doing something and trying to sue me). I doubt very much that included re-running an event etc.

I forget exactly how much it cost but a load less than your £600.

Thanks its public liability and equipment that I'm looking for ideally. Just in case someone trips over the power lead for the lights etc!

Thanks very much!
