Midland Players present:
The Children's Hour
By Lillian Hellman
This dramatic play, originally performed in New York in 1934, examines the effects of lying and prejudice on the central characters and examines concepts of evil. Because of its theme, The Children's Hour gained some notoriety. Initially, it was banned in Boston, Chicago, and London and the flap over its content also scared off the Pulitzer Prize selection committee.
This production stars several Midland Players regulars along with some members who have been absent from our productions for some time, and some new faces. Most notable are the impressive performances from our young cast.
Please come along and support a local dramatic society.
When: Curtain 7.30pm, 11th- 14th November
Where: University Drama Studio, Glossop Road
Tickets: £7 each (£6 concessions) available from www.midlandplayers.co.uk
Hope to see you there to join with us in this challenging and entertaining play!
