Hello everyone. I have a vivarium (kind of) that I would like to donate to someone who does reptile rescues, or something like that. There's a bit of a story. A while ago I advertised for a vivarium, as I had 2 male beardies in the same tank that were fighting (we thought one was female...or so we were told when we bought her (him)...anyway, we ended up in desperation buying the first thing that came along, which at the time we didn't realise was entirely unsuitable. Then we bought another viv which suited our needs brilliantly. So now we have the one that was not quite right, and we would like to donate it to someone who perhaps rescues, or does good deeds for the maltreated reptiles out there.
So, to the details. It's a white unit, that looks like it was once a kitchen wall cupboard. It has 2 glass sliding doors from top to bottom (so you can't put sand or anything like that cos it will spill into the slide grooves and make the doors awkward to open). It's got a socket for a spot lamp (but no lamp). It's got a flourescent lamp in the top (but not UVB..just bog standard). It has a heat mat glued to the floor of the viv (we assume it works but havn't tried it)...To be honest it's probably more suited to ghecko's and creatures that don't need UVB light.
If anyone can make use of it, they're welcome to it (I paid £25 for it just a week or so ago)
Or.... if anyone has a (definitely) female dragon they would like to give to us, maybe there's a deal somewhere in there???...lol
