Whats with those roadworks inbetween woodseats and meadowhead? it has always been a nightmare there so the council decided to put fancy street lights and make the road narrower through woodseats (just to add to the congestion i presume), and now they have cut off the bus lane, so now the buses have to merge with the main traffic... causing even more congestion! do any of the council leaders drive? next they'll be installing ANOTHER set of traffic lights!

Yep, getting from the roundabout on Abbey Lane to the Big Tree will now take me upto 15 minutes.... instead of the 3 it used to. Even at rush hour I'd be at least on Abbeydale road after quarter of an hour.

Of course, that's after they cut all the buses serving Hutcliffe wood except the Thomson bus.... which I can't get anyway....

Yeh, Meadowhead was a nice dual-carriage way from KFC to Morrisson's, now it's a 2/3 lane road... What's about ? They have also gotten rid of the slip road so traffic leaving the A61 can't slow down in a dedicated lane (that's if you look at the new curbs they've laid).

Honnestly, it isn't hard to have a 4 lane road between Granville Rd roundnotabout and Greenhill roundabout, there is more than enough space on the entire stretch ! Imean, how come It is faster to use Upper Albert Rd in Meersbrook to go from Heeley to Woodseats than it is on a national road ? Aren't trunk roads supposed to be large, & fast ?
