Ah, the feeling of deja vu!
Every few years, when the usual suspects go on strike, the BBC national and local (Look North) news recycle the same footage they've used many times before.
Watching these programmes so far this morning, the repetition is incredible - live footage of post/fire/binmen stood outside their work premises being 'tooted' by passing motorists. I'd say since 6.00 this morning, such footage has been shown around 20 times in two and a half hours.
And for what? Do these 'tootings' in some way imply support for these people? I rather suspect that the motorists driving past these slack jawed knuckle draggers simply see a film crew and sound their horn so they can go home and ask 'Did you hear me on Look North tonight?'
Tedious in the extreme.

I hope this is a poor attempt at getting a reaction and not what you actually think of the firemen. Internet anonymity at its finest, some psudo-intellect describing people who do a valuable job for the community as nothing but common yobs.

While your sitting drinking your 3rd latte of the morning and reading your highbrow newspaper (see i can generalise too) they have just pulled a young family out of a burning house. But your life is so much more meaningful amirite?

Yea i know, i reacted but when the OPs post started off well with the reference to laziness of local and national media when it comes to anything strike related but then degenerated in to nothing but over the top social stereotyping that strikers are "knuckle draggers" then rightly or wrongly i decided to react :)

I suggest the OP point of view is more tedious than the strike.
