Or, go to one of the independent locals next time. They tend to be much nicer, and a fraction of the cost. I hate the Pizza Hut stodge they try and get away with.

Loads of voucher codes on Martin Lewis's website, some of which are Pizza Hut ones.

Try your luck on there!

Without looking, I think it's www.moneysavingexpert.com

Junk food has always done well in times of recession.

I don't really understand what you are complaining about. You don't have to go there, there are plenty of other choices and as someone said, they advertise their prices.

If you order One large pizza (half in half), garlic bread with cheese, Pepsi for £15.49, then they will charge you £15.49. What did you think they would charge you? :suspect:

Dominos have spend £30 get it half price so for £15 you can get 2 pizzas and a side.

Sod the price, I find it scandalous that Pizza Hut describe their 'food' as pizzas at all.

A friend of mine used to service pizza ovens for Pizza Hut and some of the stories he told about conditions in the kitchens were :o

Put it like this, however hungry he was when he finished a job and they offered him a free pizza, he would always turn it down! ;)

No chance. I'd rather have a Pizza Hut or Dominos over some of the filth they serve in 'independent' takeaways.

Most of the time, they're barely cooked!

I often end up making a pizza myself if it's just me eating. When I look at the menus I get a pang of guilt about the money it'd cost, when I enjoy my own pizzas much more! I get the pizza base mix stuff from supermarkets - it's about 60p a box, which makes two bases. Just add water.

It's really incredibly lazy of me to be too lazy to make them so I always end up doing it myself lol :) With my own sauce (a mix of cheap n cheerful ketchup, tomato puree, italian spices, pesto and some Worcester/Henderson's) and whatever happens to be in the fridge, it's absolutely yummy!

Failing that I'm a huge fan of the pizzas that Asda do on their fresh counter. Bit more forward planning required but I genuinely enjoy them more than a proper takeaway I think.

Pizza takeaways are often better value for a group - using the "spend £30, save half" promotion mentioned above we fed 7 of us with 3 large pizzas and a couple of sides at the weekend for £24.

Do you realise what a stupid statement that is?
