If you had gone on the Arctic Monkeys website you would have seen that it is the Eagles of Death Metal

I just want to say how envious I am of anyone going to see them this month. Even if Josh Homme isn't there, you'lls all still get to see Nick O'Malley:love: and the others. You are soooo lucky. Have a nice time:)

:gag: the support band alone will blow them off the stage, the monkeys SHOULD be the SUPPORT!!!!!! They had their 5 minutes of fame a few years ago and should be downgraded to playing at the very least the Academy, NOT the Arena, that is usually reserved for decent bands...I guess the support band is the attraction here, coz the Monkeys themselves would not fill the Arena

Perhaps the support act should be some paint drying. It would be far more enjoyable than the main act to both look at and listen to!

Gee-ore wit dee. You need correcting on a couple of things there.

Ofcourse the Arctic Monkeys would fill the arena, to think they would is just stoopid.
Just because decent bands play there, doesn't mean its reserved for that purpose. If it was, then you'd think the building would be better set up for acoustics, however as it stands, the arena has all the acoustic qualities of a breeze-block being hit with a twig.

Finally, the Arctic Monkeys aren't that bad. They ain't amazing musicians, I'll agree and yes, basil, you have a point with the fact that there first and second album is filled with identa-kit songs where the recepie is "Take a riff, add a hook and some randomist lyrics. Add a pinch of Sheffield / locale refferences and jobs a good 'un" and you can't argue that this formula is popular and sells records.

. . . Their third album however, I'm yet to be convinced is owt but utter dross.

Hi,
I have Arctic Monkey tickets for 14th November at Sheffield Arena.

If anyone wants any Arctic Monkey tickets, they are still going on e-bay. I got mine off there, 2 tickets for £30. Bargain. Seated as well.

I just want to know who's supporting them?

Do a search and you would have found the answer.

Sorry mate but that is nonsense.

They have the fastest ever selling debut album and have backed that up with two fine subsequent albums, headlined Glastonbury as well as many other major festivals. They fit the bill for the Sheffield Arena and would have sold it out over twice over given the chance.

If you think people went for the support then you're off your rocker!!!

PS - Off topic but sorry to hear about the York.
