Recently someone posted a link for a few sites which allowed you to dl a small program which would interrogate your computer and tell you what its specs are. Have just looked for it and am probably staring it in the face, but cant see it amongst the oldposts.Please would you post again.

Ok, how about one that will run in the background, can be executed from a login script then report the results to a remote database. Details need to inlcude serial number! I have spent ages (well a while) looking and not found one yet.

Dxdiag is for DirextX diadnostics, not for a full system, and works right down to Windows '98!
