View Full Version : 7 days on the breadline TV Programe!!
i really cant believe what i am seeing on this programe what a load of wasters! benefits galore! incapacity spent on gambling, child benefit on smoking, designer shoes ,tops etc not a bit spent on cleaning no common sense to be seen its a joke! what a set of spongers!
grafikhaus74 20-10-2009, 20:59 Must admit, I turned off after 5 minutes. All these scum families do is smoke and breed.
Do the TV programme makers seek out these people? Unfortunately no, there's millions like that.
Beefcake 20-10-2009, 21:01 AND they smell too!

I didn't see it as I was watching the football
jordanjlb 20-10-2009, 21:29 Think Keith Allens got his work cut out with that family the younger boys seem quite likable but basically there just a pack of scruffs. I bet he thought christ what have I i let myself in for when the mother told him gleefully there was rats under the kitchen units and if he saw one to hit it with the garden spade and chop its head off, and did Trinny pour a potty full of wee down the kitchen sink:gag:
rothschild 21-10-2009, 00:47 Trinny most definately DID pour a pot of wee down the kitchen sink! I couldn't believe my eyes! What planet is that woman on?
As for the programme itself.........ITV are really scraping the barrel here. I sort of half watched this programme but I doubt that I will bother with the other two.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing either, why on earth did she not pour it down the toilet like any normal person would have done:gag:
perplexed 21-10-2009, 08:00 I had the misfortune to see some of this, and Trinny pouring the pee down the sink said it all really. I thought she was going through to a downstairs lavvy at first. Good grief...
It proves what I've always said though. Being scruffy's nothing to do with being poor. A bucket of water, a cloth and a bit of elbow grease costs nothing. At least Keith Allen got stuck in with cleaning, whereas the Spice Girl was more intent on faffing with gym membership. That was the least of that familys worries. And how much "actively" seeking work was occuring with the 18 year old in bed until 3pm?

Why are the Government not showing this programme when the benefits plans are being passed around?
LibertyBell 21-10-2009, 09:26 Why are the Government not showing this programme when the benefits plans are being passed around?
Because the government doesn't have a TV channel
Paul2412 21-10-2009, 09:32 If this programme is supposed to make people feel sorry for these people then it certainly hasn't worked with me.
First, they would have quite a bit more money floating around if they give up the fags and alcohol. If I don't have much money one week, I don't go out that week.
Second, a small dingy house with 6 kids? Do these people not know about an invention called a condom? If you don't earn much money then don't have lots of kids!
They just feel sorry for themselves without doing ANYTHING for themselves.
Must admit, I turned off after 5 minutes. All these scum families do is smoke and breed.

Actually, yes! By presenting a distorted view of reality (or passing off a small sub-set of reality, as being indicative of the whole thing), the program makers stand to make more money..
You have to be aware that the people putting out these things, have an agenda themselves, and to consider that agenda as you contemplate the validity of whatever it is, they're telling you.
AND they smell too!
Have you got smellivision?
boutiquechoc 21-10-2009, 14:56 They should give the scroat families food vouchers instead of dole money, if they did that I bet either most of them would get locked up for stealing, or they'd realise that they have to get a job.
grouchomarx 21-10-2009, 15:36 can programmes get any worse ?

i disagree this is a small sub set, this is what you can see every day on every sink estate, i know from experience as years ago worked on many estates in sheffield and most of yorkshire! i would guess this represents at least 70% of what most run down estates are like, as another poster said keeping clean and tidy costs very little, these peopole do not care and expect taxpayers to fund their life!
James1980 28-10-2009, 12:38 Has anyone been watching 7 days on the bread line? Do you think it's right that the guy who's 18 claiming social couldn't be even bothered to get out of bed to claim his benefit???
My argument is, he had no intentions of looking for a job either jus quite happy staying at home sleeping (probably smoking weed etc) No motivation. Why should hard workers pay out taxes to this sort of business???

There is already a thread about this (somewhere) where the usual suspects have been judging others in a sanctimonious fashion.
Here you go (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=519854&highlight=days)
BasilRathbon 28-10-2009, 12:43 There's also a similar reality show for flies who like to hang around kitchens called "7 Days On The Breadknife".
sometimes it feels like groundhog day on here the same threads day after day

I couldn't believe the washing hung over the fence :hihi:
And when Keith Allen was asking the woman about moving to a 5 bedroom house and she said only if she could take her dog :loopy:
I think these comments are rather judgemental about the families concerned.
The whole point of the programme is to let the celebs walk a mile in their shoes, which they are singularly not able to do - especially Mel B.
For a start the celebs have a nice life to go back to, whereas this is it for those families, pretty much no hope for the future no matter what they try.
I'd say the lack of confidence, hopelessness and depression are the biggest battles to overcome, and I really think this is what luckier people don't appreciate until they have been in similar circumstances for any length of time.
Also they are probably not very bright, and have little in the way of infrastructure in their lives to fall back on. They start out with the odds against them and are never able overcome them and catch up.

Whilst I get some of what your saying I do think that some of these families could help themselves a bit. The lad who lays in bed for instance instead of finding himself a job, OK he might not be the brightest lad but if he wants money then there is only him that can do something about it. Go on a course and learn something. Do a job you haven't got to bright to do but yet still brings in cash instead of living off hand outs and expecting people to practically wipe your a*se for you.
The lady with all the kids, if she wants re-housing then go to the council/association yourself and apply and if they offer you a 5 bed house but no dog, get rid of the dog, it's called prioritising! What's more important, a decent house to bring up your kids in or all being cramped for the sake of a dog?
The lad who wouldn't pick up dog poo off his front, don't have the dog then if you don't want to clear up it's mess.
Simple really! It's all right feeling sorry for them but half the time if they spent less time winging and more time doing then they'd be no problem and wouldn't have to be a TV programme to high light basically lazy people!
They ought to do a proper programme to high light genuine people who find themselves on benefits through no fault of their own and struggle not them that put themselves into the situation!
marshlad 29-10-2009, 19:20 What I don't understand is how people who have never worked have managed to have children. I don't understand how someone can be attracted to a person who has never worked and been on benefits all their life. They can't have got any morals or standards.
Because they are the same themselves. Bad education.
rainbow sky 02-11-2009, 15:42 Mel B makes me laugh, what's with all the nipping out to the gym? The bit with her getting a taxi to Asda because she reckoned she could get the shopping cheaper than the mum does, well the film company paid for the taxi and yes the shopping was cheaper but she didn't buy as much so what was the point!!!!!!
Then taking the clothes to laundrette and getting film company to pay for it again (£100, did I hear correctly?)

Yes had to chuckle about that myself. The Leeds chav in her still shines through.
..and if I remember rightly, if they hived off the dog they would get another house but refused yes? Cake and eating it if you ask me.
