Okay lads and lasses - have you ever ever forgotten to buy your partner a birthday pressy? Have you ever dared?

If so - what was the result?

Reason for asking is that I have a friend who buys his missus gifts throughout the year - and I'm not talking bunches of flowers or such. He buys her clothes and jewellery and so on as well as the chocs and whatever he can afford - even though he ends up having to borrow a few days later. Just how special is a special present going to be in this instance? Appologies to Stuart for mentioning him - not that he minds.

Then there is my son who is always able to get a new girlfriend just before her birthday arrives. He buys her a special gift using all the money he has earnt and a few weeks later the girlfriend is an ex.

So - have you ever forgotten a gift for your partner?

Nope, never forgot a present for any partner ever!

Surely to goodness , every time we pass one of those Pound Shops , it should remind us that maybe an anniversary or a birthday is coming up.
In fact , if you splash out and buy 4 or 5 gifts at the pound shops in one big extravaganza , you can put the gifts to one side in readiness.
There is simply no excuse for forgetting your loved one's birthday.

Do you honestly buy your loved one something from poundland?

I always wanted to get something that little bit extra special for my partner but usually did not have enough cash at the time.

Ah well - poundland it is ;)

I usually remember - I don't think I've ever forgotten to buy a pressie for Mrs P.

I usually manage to get 'good' pressies as well - I actually think them through a little most of the time.

And Dragon - yep, good topics! Thanks!
