There's the unreconstructed Spooky Tooth song : 'You broke my heart, so I busted your jaw'.

And the Pink Floyd album track : "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Grooving in a Cave with a Pict"

Weird.....:)

"You are the generation who bought more shoes and you get what you deserve" - Johnny Boy

"Thankfully not living in Yorkshire it doesn't apply" - Dexys Midnight Runners - despite the title I think the sentiments would be appreciated by most people in Sheffield.............

"Lord have mercy on me, keep me away from Leeds"

Mummy was an asteroid, Daddy was a small non-stick kitchen utensil, by Quiet Sun. It was an instrumental by the way. And rather a good one at that.

If I get started on Parliament/Funkadelic song titles I could be here all day, but a few faves are:

"Jimmy's got a little bit of bitch in him"

"Free your mind and your ass will follow"

and "Aqua Boogie (A psychoalphadiscobetabioaquadoloop)"

Brilliant:D

Metalman,
Weren't Quiet Sun a short-lived band featuring Charles Haywood [also of This Heat] on drums, Brian Eno on keys, tapes etc, and perhaps Richard Sinclair knocking about somewhere? I vaguely recall the album from which the song you mention came from. That is going back a bit. God, I feel old!

My own personal favourite is 'Making love to a vampire with a monkey on my knee' by Captain Beefheart. One suspects that the good Captain draws from his own personal experience in the song.
