I noticed this site mentioned on another thread and was curious to know if anyone has ever purchased anything from them? Their CD's are dirt cheap ..... £6.99 for most and it's free delivery.

Having never bought music online I want to know that I'm not going to get ripped off!

Any thoughts anyone?

Thanks!

i was wondering that , the prices look too good to be true and to be honest there isnt much of a back catalogue it seems just to be new stuff plus the site isnt very easy to get around

from other sites no one has had any problems so far. The releases you get are often Australian are foreign but are just about exactly the same.

I'll stick with cdwow as its only a quid dearer....

I've bought 2 CDs from them so far, the service has been as just as good as CD Wow and delivery was slightly quicker. I can't believe how cheap they are. Go one people take the chance, you wont be disappointed and you'll save some pennies for sweeties too!! Double bonus!!

Also i think the reason for the lack of a back catalogue is because they are fairly new to it. You can email them to request a CD is added to their website. I did and got an email back saying that they were trying to source it for me. I guess they must have to try harder to source CD's as they sell them so cheaply.

BEWARE, I have used this site and it's BAD!

I too got the message in my mailbox.

Intrigued I decided to buy something.

I ordered KT tunstall and was impressed, dispatched next day so I ordered another, Daniel Powter.

KT Tunstall 13 August dispatch date, 23 August STILL NOT ARRIVED.

Daniel Powter, you know, a big selling album, ordered 17 August, STILL NO DISPATCH.

I smell a rat à la SPLASH DVD.

I should have stuck with CD WOW and will in the future.

All those who receive mails from BangCD, put in the IGGY BIN!!

You have been warned!

I am contacting my card company now to cancel these payments!

I should remind everyone I emailed them about this....and no reply!!!

Don't order from these CD cowboys, there is no phone and doubt they will answer it anyway.....

CD WOW or CD Jungle!

Or HMV or Amazon.

I almost always use Geoff's SF affilliate link to Amazon (http://www.sheffieldforum.com/amazon) for my online shopping.. It's the least I can do for all the hours of entertainment SF has provided me :D

Wait

BangCD have blamed this on Royal Mail problem in distribution which has caused a backlog so I await my CD.

Daniel Powter they say is dispatching today.

For sources, don't check the postmark, check the back where it is distributed from like Sony Asia or whatever.

Read here for latest update, I'll give them a second chance to deliver my 2 CDS.

Yeah, the service of the company you buy from is probably great, but things tend to go tits up when your product gets into the hands of Royal Mail..

My CD arrived 11 days after dispatch.

Let's see who is to blame for my Daniel Powter CD supposedly dispatched today 24 August.

For the record, my KT Tunstall CD dispatched 13 August arrived 24 August. 11 days but BangCD said Royal Mail were clearing backlogs over the weekend just gone.

Hmmm, Daniel Powter CD should arrive by Mondsy 29 August, surely this will be on time?

I work at BangCd in Customer Support - believe me when I say we're a genuine company selling 100% original material at incredibly low prices (with free delivery!).

We are based in Singapore and being an online company all our communication is done via email - we do not, as yet, have a Call Centre (perhaps one day!?!).

We source our products from reputable music companies worldwide - the products we supply are, in no way, inferior.

As for our Customer Support Service - we will do our very best to assist each and every customer who contacts us.

By the way applepie, did you receive your Daniel Powter CD?

If you have any questions, just drop us an email, support@bangcd.com. We're here to :help:

Call me naive, but i believe them, i had really good service from BangCD. I guess all companies have teething problems though, applepie must have been one of the unlucky ones.

Hi

Zinger549 - I received notification into my BangCd email account that you had posted a thread. Why would I waste my time by signing up to SheffiledForum and posting a thread about BangCd if I didn't work for them!?!

Jen229 - thanks for your continued feedback regarding BangCd - it's always so positive and upbeat, so thanks.

Robbie - we purchased a database from a Marketing company.
who guaranteed that all customers had opted-in to receive information about music products. We are not able to divulge the company name as we signed a non-disclosure agreement (unfortunately). It was not and is not our intention to spam.
