An old neighbour of mine was/is a copper...he was/is a complete t*****!!!

He even spoke 'down' to you like he was above everyone just because of his job....he never seemed to be actually 'at' work tho!!

He was a complete and utter baffoon....he had no control over his two kids who were extremely mardy and cried to get they're own way all the time and as they grew up became complete bullies to get their own way!!

They had no respect for other peoples property and would come and play in our garden whilst we were away on holiday or out at work, garden toys went missing or got broken!!

He even reported me for common assault for frogmarching his naughtly kid off my property...just because she cried...he assumed/insisted I had hurt her...

My parents always sad many people who can't get on in life end up joining the police or the army....In this case it was MOST certainly true!!

:hihi:

I think this guy would have been a tosser no matter what career he chose...being a copper just meant that he was a litigious tosser with a superiority complex!

One of my mates dad was a copper and he's the most mild mannered chap I've ever met.

JUst read your comments, I was a copper and resigned 2 years ago WHY you may ask - good job , good career prosects and something i always wanted to do and acheived my dream job.

The reason i left was because - I was bullied out of the Job by a female supervisor who made my life a misery and shes kept her job. AFter taking to ex colleagues since they tell me shes noted for it.

A friend of mine had a colleague who'd been driven out of his last job and actually hospitalised due to the stress he'd suffered at the hands of a clique that decided they didn't like him.

When the in-house investigation got underway the person in charge ignored the testemomy of all the co-workers who claimed to have been intimidated by the exact same people and the detailed diary the guy kept of all the abuse.

The guy in charge of the investigation even suggested that he should drop the whole thing because one of the women who'd ruined his life "had been in tears" when he interviewed her...aww, poor baby.
