Does anyone know of any cat shelters or rescue homes with any spaces for a cat? I urgently need to find a space for my cat, but all the charities and shelters I ring say they're full.
I don't want any harm to come to my cat, so am doing my best to go down the formal route with the charities, but I don't know what to do next. Does anyone know of any spaces in rescue centres just outside of the area perhaps?

Most are full in all areas Roz - its a very sad state of affairs.

Why not try putting an advert on the CATCHAT site - or u can send a picture and a write up to us and we would put it on our rainrescue website site.
when you say its urgent - what is it that makes it urgent? Maybe boarding cattery would be an option.

Your other bet would probably be one of the national charities further south ? Maybe a Blue Cross - there aren't any in south yorkshire though.

There's really not a time of the year when the charity shelters aren't full unfortunately- Sheffield really is that poorly covered with national charity shelter spaces.

My advice would be to get your cat on their waiting list and then also try to rehome your cat privately, if you are able to do so.

You could also put a post on here with a rehoming template, as (for instance) I know someone who is looking for an older cat as a companion.
