Poor dog... that skin has got to be really uncomfortable... :(

I'm afraid that my first thought is about the health of the dog and how sore those eyes have to be (when they can actually open them). I know two 6 month old sharpei puppies and they both have sinus, skin, eye and heart problems already.

I just can't like sharpei's, even as puppies I find them very ugly. All that excess skin makes me feel slightly sick. gag :gag:

I saw a puppy being walked at the nether Edge farmers market and everyone was saying how cute it was but I just don't get it :loopy:

I love shar pei but due to different health issues my 3 have had including the one's medusa has mentioned, I will never have another one. When I see puppies I think aww I really would love another and think about all the good times I had with mine, then 2 seconds later the bad times kick in too!
I will always love the breed from afar now, and only hope in the future there maybe more healthy shar pei.

Poor dog, there really should be some law to stop breeding these sort of dogs. A lifetime of misery for the poor unfortunate creature. It's not really fair on it is it. :(
