My kitten, has come in tonight from a wander in the garden and he is really bloated like he's swallowed a balloon. he is sat in my srms now twitching, and is really non responsive not answering to his name and is dribbling (not ;ike him at all) he's usually running around like mad at this time of night, his breathing keeps slowing but he does'nt seem to be in distress with pain.

I was racking my brains what could be wrong and today i saw him eating something like a sticker off of an apple or similar rushed to get it but he had swallowed it. could it be that?

And what can i do now? my kiddies are in bed and i am a single parents no family locally to watch them if i did take him to pdsa if this is even an option at this time.

I am scared to go to bed incase the worst happens :-( send your prayers for coco) i love him so much and so do my kids. i will eagerly await advice. thankyou forgot to say he's about 12 weeks and has had all his jabs dont know if this makes a difference

Peak have an out of hours service, think it's about £90 consultation fee, but you see a Peak Vet, not the Vets Now place.

I was going to say that I wouldnt mind watching the kids for a while so you could take the cat but I am to far and no transport, the only all night vet I know is the ones that share the PDSA building, if your eligible for PDSA treatment ring them right away they will see you on your PDSA agreement, otherwise you will have to pay.

Yes this would probably be better than Vets now.

HI guys, just rang pdsa and they said as i'm registered with a private vet i need referal note to be seen obviously at this time of night not easy to get hold of. I was telling the vet the symptoms and coco started biting me and seemed to be showing signs of life, he is licking himself now. still not convinced he's 100% honestly he looked like he was dying, dribbling, not responding, not even moving and he's never done that. I'm not a paranoid pet owner i just could'nt live with myself if i did'nt act and something happened. I'm going to take him to bed with with and do a night check she said if i turned up they could'nt turn me away so to speak. But saying that i'm not taking the kiddies into consideration, worst case scenario i do drive i'd just bundle them into car in pj's they are 3,5 and 6 lol Anyway thankyou for all you kind thought's and i am sooo touched seadog said he/she would take him, you have restored my faith in human being 's :-) i will post tomorrow when i get him seen at my local vets if i don't do an emergency run fingers crossed he's stablised and just got bad tummy ache xxxxx

ok thankyou,so much seadog. he's in my arm's again he seem's quiet but stable he is responding now just not jumping around as usual. It's like kid's isn't it before you get to the doctors the're dying when you get seen the're running around and you look like a liar! lol when i was on the phone for 10 minutes after lying there not moving, twitching and dribbling, he started biting me even though he did'nt move to get to my arm! the vet said what is he doing now, i said biting me lol i bet she thought i was an idiot. Anyway i'd rather be safe than sorry. I had 5 cat's growing up, yes all at once and they never displayed behavior like this ..... only when they were dying hence why it concerned me but as i say he is subdued but not dribbling anymore. Thankypu so so much everyone i appreciate how late it is. Thank you to all and i hope we all get a restfull sleep ..... i'll keep you informed,Anne x
