View Full Version : Help me i think i've gone mad
ReginaldD 29-07-2005, 16:48 I've just filed out an application form for McDonalds i'm that desperate! So has anyone worked there just wondered is it really as bad as evrybody says? O and please if anyone knows somewhere decent who would want my good self, please pm me or something.
Treat it as application/interview practice.
The grease in the air in their kitchens is difficult to get out of your hair, and have you ever wondered why their staff are usually spotty? ;)
Ask IanMitchell.. He used to be Chief Burger Tosser at McDonalds till he realised he could get more signing on :)
weenireeni 29-07-2005, 16:59 maybe you could think up a fancy title for yourself?
but seriously macdonalds pay well for managers and they send you on training courses in london, put you in 5star hotels. might be embarrassing now but you never know, you might be the happy one in the end, my friend is a manager and we all laughed, she now earns more than us!
ps at least you get free meals....

Nobody has ever worked at a McDonalds. You get the stars for just turning up.
Juicyb125 29-07-2005, 17:31 No you are not mad, one of my cousins worked there for years and became a manager of a big McDs at the age of 19. The salary they gave him was really good and so was the training...
Just use it for what you need to get out of it until you get something you really want to do.
What is it you want to do?
i would reccommend it as it has filled my cv and has given me the training to get s grown up job !!!!! i was a manager for 6 years and its really not that bad.. pm me of you want more info :D
ReginaldD 29-07-2005, 22:32 Well at the moment i just want to use it to get some money while its the summer holidays from 6th form, then when we go back i'd work evenings from there on and weekends around wednesday and rugby. But I thought at least they are open all the time, more or less so i can fit it around 6th form, rugby and wednesday. I'm not looking at it as a career, i want to go into nursing but you never know.
InvalidUser 29-07-2005, 22:37 I've never worked there but a good friend of mine did for a while, he said he enjoyed it but got a bit bored after a few months.
oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1are you joking and which mc donald's is it?
ReginaldD 29-07-2005, 23:58 The one at Drakehouse
p.s i haven't got the job yet so i could probably still back out but i'm pennyless! So I want any job really, I've applied to quite a few places KFC as well
Draggletail 30-07-2005, 01:03 He he, ReginaldD - you'll have to take that sig of if you start working at McDonalds :hihi:
There is nothing wrong with honest work, and you never know, it might lead to other opportunities.
