Cruel thieves steal puppies - and try to sell them to victim's neighbours
A FURIOUS mum has told of her family's anger after thieves swiped their two puppies - then touted them for sale to their neighbours.

Thieves leapt over Kealey Grainger's back garden fence and stole the Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppies, valued at £300 for the pair.
Now Kealey has learnt that the opportunist thugs are offering the 11-week-old pups for sale to her neighbours on the Arbourthorne estate, Sheffield.

Kealey, of Daresbury Place, said: "I spotted a gang of youths hanging around my back garden, then I went upstairs for five minutes to put the kids to bed.
"When I went back to the garden the puppies were gone.
"My two young girls Ebony and Charlie were so distraught they began wandering the streets crying and wailing the dogs' names."

One dog is white with black spots on his ears and two brown spots on his back and both animals are male.
Kealey, aged 30, added: "One of my neighbours was approached by some lads, they were really cocky and they offered her a Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy for fifty quid."
The theft happened between 8.30pm and 9pm on Sunday evening.

Chief Insp Trevor Bichard, from Moss Way police station, said: "We are investigating a number of leads and have assigned an officer to the case.

Isn't that a bit odd?

Isn't it customary to acknowledge sources of news items???

I remember seeing something similar like this a few years ago on TV, didn't they arrest some woman called DeVille for it in that case. Maybe she's out of prison now and up to her old tricks again!

Love that quote from the cop 'investigating a number of leads':hihi:

It's this page (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/misc/terms.php) Jon - something to do with copyright probably

I wasn't aware of anything in the rules/terms either.:)

I just think that it is polite and, as I said, customary to acknowledge the original source.

I also think that it is of great value to help readers of the forum to learn of the sources of our material so that in future they can start to use those sites for their own benefit.

We're not really that callous Roughy. It's a good way of making sure this thread stays near the top of the 'New Posts' list although none of us are in a position to help :(
