Hi, looking for a horsebox big enough to fit two biggish horses or cows in it.
Ideally would be the trailer kind as apposed to the transporter type.
Does anyone know of anything locally and reasonably priced?
Thanks x

I'm happy to help you find one, price wise you're looking at £1500-£2000 for a reasonably priced one and in good nick. :)

Thanks Jo, that's about what we were thinking. Hopefully can get one as soon as and shouldn't need to borrow yours, so please keep your eyes peeled. Any ideas on where to start?
Thanks

Try the free-ads, there's normally a good few horseboxes in there. Also the online ads which I'll have a browse through. I've already put a couple of wanted ads up. ooh, also look on ebay, there's occasionally some on there. And local trailer dealers my extend into the livestock range, or be able to point you in the direction of someone who can.
Will you need a sheep deck? If not then you could get away with an Ifor Williams 505 (takes up to 2x 16.2hh) or similar horsebox and just remove the partition for the cattle. Also if you can get one with an aluminium floor with rubber matting on top then you will have less of an issue if you were to take any animals to slaughter. (shh! don't mention slaughter on the pet forum!! ;))

hehe :-)
We've found one for just over £2000 in Derby which seems in pretty good nick - can fit a couple of horses/cows and also has seperate removable partitions for sheep and goats - we'd like this as well as would be mostly smaller things we'd be moving. I'll try and find the advert so you can give your opinion, and will do some more ploughing through ads tomorrow
Thanks loads
