View Full Version : Missing Torti Cat S5 *home*
louise554 10-10-2009, 09:27 My 5 Year old Torti and White cat has been missing since Monday 5th October from Palgrave Crescent.
She is a timid ex rescue cat that doesn't really trust men. She never really goes far, we have lived here for 3 years and she only really goes as far as the bottom of the road near Palgrave road.
If you live near this area, please open garages and sheds incase she is stuck. This cat means everything to me and I'm lost with out her. I do realise this sounds daft but if you have had a beloved pet you may understand me.
Thanks for reading this
Hi luv, I've told Jackie at CATS. She may hear something. Also have you postered the area. That usually works! Let me know if you need help with laminating pix of your puss. There have been lots of cats going missing but on the plus side a lot of them have returned home, so fingers crossed. Try RSPCA website as well for found cats, also Cats Protection North Sheffield branch. At least they will advertise her for you. xx
mummysaz21 10-10-2009, 10:35 hi im only 2 secnds away im on doe royd mine also dissapered last year, so i know how it feels, ill keep an eye outxxx
louise554 10-10-2009, 10:48 Thanks for that. I have knocked on everyone's door where I thought she may have access too.
I am in the process of doing flyers and I have contacted every company and centre within Sheffield and Rotherham.
I have walked round at night calling her but with no luck. She is used to 2 large dogs and the worry for me is that there are 2 fox dens either side of my house. Just hope they haven't killed or injured her.
I'm not sure how to put pictures on here but I have one for anybody to see.

I'm in the same area, and there are loads of cats everywhere, but not being a cat person I can't really imagine what a "torti and white" cat looks like. What part of it is white?
louise554 10-10-2009, 13:19 Hi, Thanks for that here is her pic http://i38.tinypic.com/znatlx.jpg. Hope I find her

Torti is black with ginger patches Scoobz, or sometimes they might be white with ginger and black patches..
Cheers for that Moonbird, and also the pic. We'll keep our eyes open.
louise554 10-10-2009, 22:46 I have just spent the last hour and a half walking round my area, just hoping to hear her little cry.5 days without food and water can't be very good.please check all sheds and garages as I really feel helpless.even if u think it is useless.I can't give up on my little girl. Please check even if u don't think u have been in as she is little and can sneak into small places.
keep your chin up hun she is hopefully fed and warm somwhere and has just lost her bearings hope she comes home soon x
Hiya , please ring in to the Rspca on 0114 2898050 between 10-4 with a full description and your contact details so that she can be put on the lost and found there too. It's not just the public that look , all of the staff are avid animal lovers and check sites like these and keep a look out for anyone's missing animals.Don't give up hope

If she is outside and felling thirsty, at least it's been raining over the last day or so. :)
louise554 11-10-2009, 20:07 Maybe some positive news A few people have suggested that they have seen a similar cat near the flats on the round about at Wordsworth avenue near my home.if u live in this area please look out for her because as of yet I haven't seen any sign of her.cheers x
louise554 12-10-2009, 12:14 Possible sighting of Oz on Busk meadows. If anyone lives there would you be able to keep an eye out for her http://go.sheffieldforum.co.uk/?id=203X323&url=http%3A%2F%2Fi38.tinypic.com%2Fznatlx.jpg Cheers x
louise554 13-10-2009, 08:54 Checked out all leads yesterday and they all were all other cats. Not sure she is going to come back now this isn't like her. Just wish I knew what had happened. My mum has spoken to people near where she lives and apparently there has been a speight of cats going missing and they have found they are been used as bait for dog fighting. I hope this isn't true. :( Come home Ozzie
louise554 13-10-2009, 21:00 Hi everyone Ozzie came home tonight.I was calling her as normal when I heard a sad little meow. I went and searched her old hiding spot and there she was injured. She is a bag of bones and now holds her jaw funny. Her back leg must be hurt too as she is finding it difficult to put it down. I think she may have ticks too as she has these weird bluey grey things in her fur so keeping away from dogs. Just trying to ring a vet now. Thankyou all for ur advice x
That's wonderful news. I'm so glad you found her. It's my worst nightmare that one of mine disappears and I never find out what happens to them. It's sad that she's injured, but at least you can help her now.
Hope after a visit to the vets she is good as new xx
so glad ozzie is home hopefully she will recover quickly and settle back into being at home
seadog
Moonbird 13-10-2009, 21:34 Poor Ozzie pleased to hear that she is home but sorry that she is hurt, mixed blessings
Please let us know how she goes on.
mummysaz21 14-10-2009, 06:11 aawww im sooooooooooo glad, i dident want to say but i never actualy found mine again and shes chipped took me till last week t pluck up courage to get another lol, im soooo happy you found her i hope her injuries heel well, i been keeping an eye out and thought i saw her yestrday but it couldent have been as i couldent see the blue tagx
Good news indeed. Typical of a cat though. Everybody spends days looking for it, and it comes home on it's own! Bet it'd have a story to tell if it could talk. Hope it get's back to full health.
louise554 14-10-2009, 07:53 Thank You everyone for the nice comments. I'm so glad to have her home. She seems fine in herself now, just her leg but vet says she will be fine. She is covered in ticks and fleas so had to get that sorted but other than that she looked as if she missed me as much as I missed her, she sat on my knee all night looking into my eyes.
I have decided that from now in she is never allowed out and that she will have a tracker fitted. Only joking but thats what I think I should do.
Again thank you all for you help over the last week much appreciated x x x:):):)

louise554 15-10-2009, 13:19 Had to take Oz back to vet yesterday. Turns out she has fractured her pelvis and she now has to stay in for a few days. She has also had 4 teeth out. Poor little lady. Still she is purring and eating so almost back to normal:)
glad to hear youve got your kitty back, its awful not knowing whats happened to them, mine has been missing for nearly 2 and a half weeks now and im soooooo worried about him , but its nice to hear that some come home! x
