Hello, can anyone tell me how much it costs (approx) if i leave my standard laptop switched on for 24 hours, arguing with the good lady who is moaning about the cost, any help greatful.

I worked out that it would cost 45 pence overnight if I hadn't turned off the computer, monitor and light @ .250 kilowatts per hour, before going to bed. I would guess a laptop on its own is about a quarter of that. 30 pence over 24 hours?

30p per day still works out at around a tenner a month

Its in sun today that it is 0.25 per hour to run a laptop off of the mains.

How much is electricity per KwH?

If it's 25p and your laptop is burning 1 Kilowatt per hour you should get it (or at least the power supply unit) checked - There's something seriously wrong with it.
