View Full Version : Intrigued about my birthday
I was just wondering if any one has ever had weird/not expected birthday presents or intriguing build ups to the big day?
As saturday is my birthday and my significant other is playing games with my head. We do not live together, and he has told me I have to leave my flat, and he will phone my as to when I can return. He says he is building something, and does not need a screwdriver(true or trying to throw me off the scent!).
I am fed up of trying to think of what it might be, as I never know what I'm going get, previous presents include: a robot, pool table, scaletrix, table tennis table, I have warned him about toys.
Any Body got any ideas???
I hate the not knowing, even though its only two more sleeps:D

Cheers and thankyou, I will keep you posted
:)
I'm hoping its a bookcase i've had my eye on, I doubt it though, some men are crap at hints
Have a happy birthday and just check the house insurance.... ;)
A man and a screwdriver can constitute a weapon of mass destruction if it involves the right man and a large enough screwdriver.
Welcome aboard!

It perhaps still could work if not by using an ingenious system of stilts or helium filled double glazed panels! ;)

seanyboy 29-07-2005, 19:56 Mines also on Saturday Loue (big 21!) Happy birthday to you!
Sadly my birthdays have never had a big build up, or involved intruiging presents! I did have a few parties as a kid which were fun!
I am pretty intriguied about what present you might get! Maybe its a robot that builds bookcases. Just a thought.
happy birthday to you to seanyboy, I'll be 32.
Also from previous posts, I would really love a bookcase that matches my new dresser, I do sound old don't I!
I am in a one bedroom downstairs flat, so no conservatory, other half has been round today whilst I was at work and has hidden things, and can I hell as like find them. He is ok with a screwdriver as long it is not electric!
Cheers Freebird for telling everybody where I'll be, but turn up if you want, just to see who freebird is, I've known him a few years, so he will be no surprise to me!
You will all be as welcome, as you have made me feel in your posts.
Cheers
Hi just to let you know, I wasn't disapointed. It was a very nice pair of free standing speakers for my stereo, and he wired up the old speakers in to my bedroom, so now I've got a switch so I can listen to music where ever I am.
Ps I also got a very nice D&G watch
I will have to buy my own bookcase!
Very nice... and hope you had a great birthday
