The deadline for Marie Curie Cancer Care's Big Zip 2009 has now been extended until the end of the day on Wednesday 7th October 2009.
Registration had been due to close on the 5th October but due to last minute demand the charity have decided to extend the deadline for getting your place for this thrilling first time event.
The local fundraising office are now appealing for any last minute daredevils to sign up now to come and take a trip down The Big Zip 2009 – flying through the air on a highwire across Doncaster Lakeside this Sunday and helping to raise money for local cancer care.
This is the first time a zipwire challenge event has ever taken place over the lake at Lakeside and we’re on the hunt for adrenaline junkies from across the area to sign up to get harnessed up, climb to the top of a 30m high crane platform and zip 220m along a highwire, over water, to the other side of the lake.
In these uncertain economic times Marie Curie Cancer Care's patients can’t be put on hold and we need your support to ensure we are able to continue to provide high quality nursing care to terminally ill cancer patients in their own homes, where they need it most. By signing up to take part in this thrilling event not only will you have a fantastic time doing something a little bit different and out of the ordinary on a Sunday morning, but you’ll also be helping to raise money that will make a real difference to the lives of people living with cancer in your community.
Sign up with your friends, with your family or with your work colleagues – just do it now to make sure you secure your place! It’s not too late as you’ve now got till Wednesday October 7th. To book over the phone call us on 0114 279 3010.
