All day my phone line as not had no out going tone.And when people ring me they say it is a ringing there end but i can not hear it at my end.

Is anyone els telephones been off at all that on telewest.I have try out 3 diffrent phones so i know it not the handset that not working and i been out side to see if my line been cut but it is fine.
I have rang telewest but they keep telling me just to keep trying and use other phones to try, or i get charged over £80 for a call out fee if it was a handset matter and not telewest falt even tho i told them i have tried other handsets.Now my tv and internet (blueyonder) is fine.Just the blooming phone.So is anyone els phone line playing up today,or is it just mine.

I have telewest yorkshire cable and have not had a problem with the phone line .
Mind you the internet and T V went down the other day for 24 hrs but its fine now.

I used to work for Telewest until quite recently, It sounds to me like there is water in your cable, It's the cable which runs outside underground, a commom fault With Cable providers, and looking out the window to the current weather conditions I would say it fits pretty well.

Give em a ring back and tell them that you want some one out!

littleboo thanks for that.i just got my friend now to ring them for me and stated about this water problem.so now got them poping out sunday to fix it.i never knew about this problem before and ive used telewest in past.
