I am refurbishing a 2 bed ex-council flat which is pretty shabby at the moment. It needs new bathroom and kitchen, some rewiring and new wiring, new central heating, double-glazing and general refurbishments.
I am interested in individual tradesmen or building firms who can take on one or more of these jobs as I have listed them below.
Updated 6/10:
1. Double glazing (quotes arranged)
2. Bathroom expansion: remove partition wall, seal unwanted doorways
3. Electrics
4. Central heating
5. Plastering (sorted)
6. Flooring (sorted)
7. Kitchen
8. Bathroom (sorted)
Thanks to those that have already offered to give quotes. I am aiming to have a shortlist of people to contact for quotes in each area by the end of this week.
Please let me know if you can address one or more of the unsorted areas of work and whether you would be able to provide all trades for that area. You must be able to provide references, and a website with a gallery of your work would be very helpful.
Please note you must be available to complete work in the next two to three months. I am hoping most of the work can be finished before Christmas.

How should I approach getting the other jobs covered?
Get Several Quotes, average of 3 quotes per trade, dont go for the cheapest, go for the one you feel most comfortable with.
Which order should I really get them done in? Should I get the gas boiler and radiator fitted in the kitchen before I get the rest of the kitchen fitted?
If this is to be "lived in" its quite awkward, personally here, get the first fix heating done, and first fix electrics (with some second fix for you so you have power, kitchen - get this in after plastering and decorating, but before tiling. plumbing and electrics are previous to this. Anything thats a finishing off wants to be last.
Are there any good firms that can handle most of the jobs here with all the appropriate recognised certificates?
Sent you one in PM :)
Any help you can offer will be appreciated thanks. :)
Answer the following if ya can :)
Is the Renovation to be lived in? You are living in the same place at the the same time as work to be carried out?
Is there furnature in the property, or will it be empty
Will there be carpets down or laminte or any other form of flooring?

The flat is vacant and completely empty of furniture, and will stay that way until there is just decorating left to do.
There are some old units in the kitchen, there is an old bathroom suite and there is nasty laminate flooring that will need to be ripped up anyway for nice stuff to go down later.
I can highly recommend Craig at CC Total Solutions his work is first class at a realistic price, a genuine guy who you can trust in your home his contact number is 07502089304.

Thanks for all the help so far.
I am a bit puzzled about the kitchen work. There seems to be several ways to go.
- Buy units and apps and contract a fitter to install them.
This seems to be the cheapest option but could be problematic if I buy units that are wrong/ don't fit/ have defects etc.
- Contract a fitter who buys agreed units and apps from a trade supplier.
This seems open to exploitation. Having looked at trade supplier websites I don't see any prices for the general public's information. Is it usual to get a detailed breakdown in a quote of how much money is for specified products and how much for labour? It is also unclear how tailored the fitting will be without some kitchen design.
- Contract a kitchen firm to supply units and apps and send their own fitter.
This seems like the best option for the best job but I can't see it being cheap, especially with possible design costs. Can a designed, tailored kitchen be done on a reasonable budget?
Anyone care to add anything to this debate? :)

Thanks for all the helpful replies and pm's. Based on your help, I have worked out an order I think the jobs should be done in. Does this seem correct?
1. Double glazing
2. Bathroom stripped and expanded
- toilet left in place
3. Electrics (first fix, whole flat)
4. Plumbing (first fix, whole flat)
- points moved in bathroom
- kitchen pipework inspected and complete
5. Heating
6. Plastering
7. Flooring
8. Kitchen units fitted
9. Kitchen gas apps installed
10. Kitchen plumbing (second fix)
11. Kitchen electrics (second fix)
12. Bathroom
