I'd like to guess Heely Bridge is pretty swamped about now, specially if the level of rain is the same as it is here on Western Bank!

What a shame, I just managed to sell my house (that used to flood when it rained heavily), just before all this rain started. Phew, wouldn't want to go through that again.......always buy your house in rainy season !!

Biiiiiiiiig puddle on the corner of Eastwood Road and Bruce Road (off Eccy Rd by the Berkley Centre). Think its due to a blocked drain or something but every time it rains its there and today its just huuuuuge

Penistone road is bad,so is the wicker, the mosborough parkway was a nightmare about an hour ago.
There was a good four to five inches of water on penistone road near the park.
No mention of any problems on radio sheffield travel news though, don't they look out the window

I just drove home from Meadowhall through Blackburn and Wincobank and along Wooley wood Bottom and the two bridges at the bottom of Blackburn are flooded up to the top of car wheels and there looked to be a burst water main along wooley wood somewhere. Also in Ecclesfield the water is running out of the drains and flooding things there too (sorry i do not know the road names but just after you come out of wooley wood) Anyway i guess its all good experience for a learner like me!

Chesterfield Road was flooded under Heeley Bridge again. Most cars were taking a detour around the back of Ponsford's but some idiots we're trying to drive through the 1 1/2 metre's of water. This is the 3rd time in about 12 months that that area has flooded. Surely it's about time that the council took measures to prevent this, considering that it blocks a main arterial route in and out of the city.

Massive puddle blocking one lane and almost the second on the ring road at 7pm behind the law courts opposite Irwin Mitchell.

And a lot of large puddles at sides of many roads. Many of them down to poor drainage, always blocked with leaves. They seem to be spending more money on putting in traffic islands on Witham Road rather than addressing the poor drainge flow and massive pothole/puddles.

On the way home on the no.25 bus tonight we got to heeley bottom and there was a queue of cars not wanting to go through the lake under the railway bridge.. our bus driver just overtook the whole queue and sailed through the flood.. it was well funny!

And when I got off the bus at the bottom of valley road there was a fast flowing metre wide river coming down chesterfield road! ALOT of water!

Valley road was mainly river too..
