I think you'll have to go to your bank, I'm afraid.

This can be done. You have to scan the cheque using any ordinary scanner. You could try photographing it too but the camera has to be high resolution, 5Mp should do it. Once you have a digitised cheque you have to email it to Paypal's cheque depratment and they'll clear it within three working days.
