I've got 2 15KG sacks of complete dry dog food that need to go LOL
1. Joe and Jacks natural chicken and rice puppy food
2. Pero Gold with Pasta for fussy eaters (although obviously not if you're as fussy as Bella LOL)
Also a 2.5 KG bag of JWB turkey and rice puppy
Having finally found a food Bella will eat , these two aren't going to get used.
I'm quite new to dogs LOL so dont know of all the local rescues etc... but if anyone knows of one that could use them and can pick them up you're welcome to them!
i can collect them for either Sheffield Dog Rescue or i can pass them to Rains.(i'm closish to Treeton thats all)

If anyone hasn't already claimed it we could use some more food for Rain Rescue's Roscoe-anything he doesn't eat before he is rehomed will either be given back to Jaq at Rain Rescue or kept for our next foster :) What a lovely kind offer.

Oh Good looks like it wont go to waste! Have heard a lot about Roscoe so would be great to help him out! Would he eat the puppy stuff or just the big bag of pero? Let me know...
Can I be really dim here and just ask what Rain Rescue exactly is? Is it like an umbrella organisation for the differnt rescues in Sheffield, or an independant rescue...have looked at the website and cant quite figure it out...must sound really stupid now LOL (Am sure it is a really good cause though - just dont quite understand how it works LOL)
Is there a list anywhere of all the doggy rescue places in sheffield....would love to know where they all are... as one day in the distant future if I ever have spare time(LOL) I would love to volunteer as a doggy walker or something!
Anyway let me know what Roso would like...
Does Pets@home work at a rescue too?
And thanks willman for the offer to collect as well

Thanks Lou for offering to donate the food thats really kind of you.
Yes you are right - we are more of an umberella organisation now.
We used to take in dogs our selves, kennel them and then rehome them, but due to lack of people on the ground and the high volume of work everything is involved in rescue - we have ended up not taking many in any more. We try to help the rescues that are helping the dogs or cats in crisis - so they can keep going.
We fundraise and pay for treatment for any of the dogs in dog pounds that wouldn't get adopted due to some ill health or problem (tonight we have been asked if we can pay for a dog in a pound that has a cherry eye), we are paying for Roscoes repaired hip operation at just over £500 at the moment, and many things like that.
We run our website which helps other dog rescues have a web presence and rehome the dogs that they may struggle rehoming - as well as helping the cat rescues with whatever it is that they need too. We have just bought 50 wormers for 3 cat rescues that couldn't afford them for different sets of ferrals.
So - a mixed role really. We have lots of volunteers that offer what they can in whatever way that they can too. We try to go for education, Public Awareness and 'Every Little Helps'.
