View Full Version : Preston only allocated 1154 tickets-Any ideas why?
Titanic99 01-10-2009, 12:57 I've got this from another website but it seems that we've only allocated Preston 1154 tickets for when we play them at home in a few weeks.
Now I know it is unlikely they will sell of them, but anyone any ideas on the reasoning behind the restriction.
A theory so far is we are putting them in the corner and giving this area of the ground over to kids, although the link say that it is for the Carlsberg West Stand upper.

Just speculating as to why this is happening, perhaps we are copying you lot!

Even on a tuesday night, not sure about that!
I wonder if we've decided to stick them into "Dole corner" as it is now affectionately known as!

Lets hope that affection extends until April.
Don't Wednesday usually just offer a few blocks of the upper tier first when they know a smaller away following will be coming?

Rubbish, they brought well under 1k to Hillsborough last season on a Saturday afternoon early in the season - they won't even sell this 1154 allocation for a night game.
Maybe they've only asked for a small allocation, i.e. just the blocks in the middle of the West Stand.

Bit odd though as they are telling people to get them quickly.
Could it be to do with Stewarding, presumably this is two sections and they to know how many Stewards are needed!
Michael_W 01-10-2009, 16:41 Its a trial run for the Sheffield derby, Wednesday are planning to give United just the bottom tier of the Leppings Lane end sticking the band in the corner to bang that drum and get on their nerves and allowing 3,500 urine loaded Owls fans on West stand upper

I would have thought there would be more than 3,500 urine loaded fans at the ground. :hihi:

Yes but those in other parts of the ground will be allowed access to the toilet facilities

Why, is Tudgay gonna get coins thrown at him, as he lays injured on a stretcher? (Probably after a challenge from Morgs :))

only if they decided to take him infront of all the away fans in a heated environment and then he waves and smiles at the United fans ala Ward
p.s. i dont condone those actions just for the record

So now you have a good excuse for when the crowd is less than 20,000 AGAIN
CorkerSWFC 01-10-2009, 18:18 I can remember Preston coming to Hillsborough last season, they only brought about 600, and if i remember rightly they hardly sung a song atall.
