Hi folks,

I recently saved a file on memory stick and now after all attempts to open and open+repair the file, it seems to have failed so far.

It says that it can't be opened due to the file been currupted at line 2 on column 2147. It just displays "Illegal Character Used" as the reason for this.

Anyone got any ideas if I can at all get my work back, without having to start over again?

You could try this program to repair it...

Just downloaded that and it comes up blank, so obviously sadly does not work for the corrupted file. It does open the other similar documents though.

Shame really. I've just about given up now, it will just be easier to re-do this work again, though surely it should be recoverable?
