only on major horse races if I can be bothered and I'd usually use Billy Hills in town or Crookes.

Sometimes on horses, occasionally on dogs. Never on the lottery, it is far too vulgar.

Does playing the Irish Lottery count ..you do have to go in a betting shop to pay.

I only gambled online once when the odds of winning was guaranteed.

I got something like £89 of free money thanks to someone on here.

I closed the account down.

When I was younger, I started to nip into town on my motorbike during the lunch break, to place a bet at the bookies for a colleague. This guy could study form, as they say. He never bet unless he was pretty sure of a winner.

I would bet on the same horse. First horse came in at 33-1. A week goes by, we bet again, and the horse comes in at 50-1.
The following week, we win on a horse at 20-1.

Next time, he bets on a horse at 2-1. I suggest he picks another horse which is at least 10-1. He says his horse is the winner. I place his bet, but as I don't like the odds, put my money on the horse at 10-1. His horse romps home, and I lose my stake money.

I realised then that I would only ever bet at huge odds, and although I'd enjoyed three wins, it was a mug's game unless you knew the form. I've never bet on the horses since. I have done the office sweepstake on the Grand National though - but haven't won since Red Rum had his first win!

Never bet on horses or dogs. The only people driving rolles royces are bookies. Not punters.

Some times go for the realy long odds and buy a lottery ticket.
