Anyone know when HallamFM's Party in the park (held in Hillsbro' park) is?

Mayfest was held on the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Hallam don't actually do a Party In The Park, this is the neaest thing to it.

They USED to do one in the Don Valley Bowl back in the mid/late 90's - but the last one was a good few years ago now.....

Yeah - I went to the last Feel The Noise at Don Valley and it's a real shame they don't do it any more.
For someone like me who likes the kind of bands who are on at these things, it means travelling to the next nearest one, which is Leeds or Bradford, and that can be a lot of messing about if you don't know where you're going!

I blame Emap for taking over Hallam FM and the like. The Feel The Noise concert became Box Live the year after, which was a tour in association with the Box music television channel. The 2nd year of Box Live didn't do well at all - it was indoors, they'd got the worse acts they could and the arena wasn't even half filled. So that became the end of that. And since then we haven't had a proper summer concert like most other towns do.
It's like the Smash Hits Poll winners - that used to be great, and the tour used to be good too, but since around the same time of the Sheffield concerts going downhill, and because Emap own Smash Hits too, we didn't even have a Smash Hits tour and the actual Poll Winners which was shown on tv was rubbish, like it has been for the past few years.

Sorry for the rant. I know that's not why people will be coming in the topic!

there used to be one but sheffield is not on the same level as places like brighton southampton and of of course leeds these all have party in the parks and are very successful
