My postman came today at 1pm.

He brought me a bill, a coupon for some money off anti-wrinkle cream and a payslip.

All post will be delivered in Sheffield with no strikes until at least 8th of October, when the results of the national ballot will be revealed.

However as lots of other places are striking, there may be ups and downs with mail volumes as the mail is moved around the country. I've only seen 'ups' recently though.

Same here. For the last 5 weeks the post in my area has been at various times.

For example, one day it may turn up at 10am, then the next day 5.30pm where before it used to be more or less a set time

We had mail yesterday but we often don't get mail on Mondays. Generally times mail arrives can be very erractic anytime from 7.30a.m to 1pm which is a nuisance if they come when I'm not in and they can't fit something through the letter box or there is something to pay for.

I got mine about 10:30 - 11am, which is usual.
It's never any earlier than that!

My postie has not arrived yet, but I know he's been having problems with his knees so maybe he's decided to rest up and a subsitute is bringing my mail.

you know you have time on your hands when you have time to chat to posties!

i would just like to ask all the pepole commenting about the time their post arrives, "what is your point?" and to the people who say that they didn't get any post on Monday or whatever, again "what is your point?" are you saying that the delivery office, or the postman, is holding your mail back? this is an offence in Royal Mail called 'willful delay of mail' and is a grave offence punnishable by instant dismissal. Do you think that your postman or his manager is going to risk that? You all need to look at the wider picture of Royal Mail policies, much higher up the ladder than your postie or his manager. There have been lots of threads on here about post and on all of them I have implored you all to complain at official levels about the service you now receive, especially businesses! Your postie or his/her manager have no say in it. Royal Mail don't particularly care what time you get your post, this is part of the reason for the unrest in the Company. So when we do go on strike, cos it looks likely I hope you all will have a little bit more knowledge why?

I live in S8 (well technically! All the streets around me are S7 or S11!) and I've had my post - are there any strikes? Not heard of any locally?
