Ive been djing nearly 10 years

i CANNOT get any gigs in sheffield at any of the clubs. and its not because im rubbish at it, quite the opposite actually. anyone else finding it difficult to get any gigs?

I Have halloween n new year booked and thats it.

A Good dj will always get work without looking for it.

A bad or wannabe dj ! will only get it once.,:thumbsup:

Why bother with your signature then?

Theres a huge difference between being a dj at a bar or pub than being in a nightclub.
I know people who have been doing the job for 10 - 15 years and NEVER done a club but have made a good living from doing bars etc.

some of us make a nice living because we give the people what they want not what we think they should hear

i wasnt having a pop at the op in my post.
i was speaking in general.
i understand that club djing is different to bars etc.
the problem is that resident club djs keep hold of the spot because there is a lot of Competition always waiting to take over.
which makes it hard for everyone to get in.
as for my signature .
you dont turn work away you pass it to other djs that you know do a good job.
