View Full Version : Can anyone recommend a bed & breakfast/guest house in S7, 10, or 11?
Draggletail 27-07-2005, 12:50 Does anyone know of a B&B that has a good reputation? (Clean, run by friendly people etc)
Located in S11, S7 or S10 (for the sake of convenience)
We will have an overspill of guests September after Draggletail/Longshanks junior is born :)
Hiya - a colleague from work recently stayed at Hardwick House and loved it.
Hardwick House,
18, Hardwick Crescent,
Sheffield S11 8WB.
England.
Telephone: (0114) 2661509

Apparently it's proper quirky and really great - he said he'd definitely stay there again.
Hope it helps... :)
Good luck with the littl'un x
Draggletail 27-07-2005, 14:46 Thanks Hoofie.
That looks like a great place to stay - the owner seems to have a sense of humour too, going by the website :)
Have emailed the link to the guests - one of them is Australian - she will probably love it :D
pete_jim 27-07-2005, 14:51 That looks fab. There's one on Clifford Road (1/4mile from Hardwick Rd) if you need it think it's called Psalter House?
Glad to help :) I like places that are a bit unusual rather than faceless, atmosphere free chains!

Draggletail 28-07-2005, 01:20 Thanks, Strix - looking for ones that can be personally be recommended :)
Was just hoping to jog some memories from fellow forumers
We had some friends stay in the Parklands guest house on Rustlings Road a few years back. Apparently it was nothing short of excellent, might be worth a call.
Draggletail 29-07-2005, 00:58 Thanks brewnog - It's just down the road from us - will pass on the info :)
Thanks for the 'bump' strix

Isn't that what Longshanks said to you ;)
I've met the chap who runs Hardwick house, he does great animal impersonations, he is loads of fun and is a really great entertainer. Their house is simply beautiful. I'd looked at it when I had to put someone up but in the end they decided not to come to Sheffield so in the end there was no need  If you want to use them, they get quite booked up during the Summer. There's also the Hotel opposite Endcliffe Park by Hunters Bar roundabout which is also really nice; sorry I cant remember its name.

The Hunter House Hotel, Wendygs? it's closed down now.
I think it's now a 'Bhuddist Centre' or retreat.
BILDEBORG 08-08-2005, 15:35 I stayed at the Hunter House hotel 2 years ago whilst visiting my daughter.....I can honestly say I have been in bigger prison cells......and I had to pay nigh on £40 for the (dis)pleasure!!!
