Hi everyone,
The well known AFK club on sidney street in Sheffield's busy city centre is currently undergoing a few developments and changes.
As of next week the following new classes/changes will be implemented.
1. Andy Lacey takes over Tuesdays at The Forge Martial Arts Centre.
As of next tuesday, World Class heavyweight kickboxer Andy Lacey (also known as Big Andy) will be teaching the Tuesday class at "The forge" which is also home to Gracie Barra BJJ School.
Andy Lacey often does the corners for the AFK fighters when on home shows.
I am pleased that Big Andy has accepted the task at hand (Cheers big fella!)
Big Andy's Class at the forge will be Tuesday 6-7pm . There will be an optional half hour after the class if anyone wishes to stay for sparring.
Anyone who is an active kickboxer will be kicking themselves if they miss sparring with the legend Big Andy himself as well as the 2 AFK Superkickers : Ant "superman" Stuchbury and Veteran Alan Willis
2. University Classes :
Hallam university students are back so AFK have their student classes back on.
Tuesday Hallam uni class will be 630-730pm (Collegiate Campus)
Thursday Hallam Uni Class will be 730-830pm (City Campus)
These classes will be very beginner friendly and will not be focused around competition but more towards Gradings.
3. Womens Only Classes:
The womens only class will be taught by Mark Howarth (yes he is back from missionary work in Brazil and no he wasnt really skiving) assisted by capable AFK fight Squad member Rachel "RC" Crosby.
The Thursday class will be held at the AFK Honbu (Head quarters) : KNOX Boxing gym on Sidney street in the city centre.
Womens class= Thursday 730-830pm KNOX Boxing Gym.
All other classes to date will stay the same.
