http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy329/joshesmum/004.jpg i got this gorgeous boy off someone who didn't want him anymore he been here since last thursday.. i know he is used to going outside so it been a bit strange for him but i put him a litter box by the front door as he had an accident there but he has also on the odd occasion wee'd on the tiles in my downstairs loo i have shut the door so he can't get in but there is an odour there he hasn't been done yet he is booked in for friday with my other male kitten then hopefully he can go out and enjoy.. Any ideas on getting rid of the whiff ? Is it a case of bio powder or is it best using something else ? I haven't had this problem with any of the others am hoping it sorts itself out when he been done xxx

Try cleaning it with white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda. That should get rid of it fairly easily.

Yep this is the best recipe. Also you're right. A few days after his little op, his hormones will calm down and the whiff will go. x

Steam cleaners and Safe4's odour killer would also do the job. If you can beg or borrow a steam cleaner then I'd use that over the whole area.

Yeah of course i am biased but he is a very laid back cat took it in his stride that my siamese cross growled constantly for 2 days and my other 3 have took to him he has adjusted really quickly now it is madness when they all start playing :)
