wrt this thread (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=513090), I think it'd be safest to ask a few friends a favour

Would anybody be willing to be on an 'emergency list' for Brude sitting incase there's any ambulance phoning needs to be done over the next six months or so?

Anybody who may be able to just offer transport to any non-driving volunteers would also be appreciated

Thanks in advance :)

Oh the trials and tribulations of living so far away from family at such times :shakes:

Me! Me!

We owe you big time anyway from when Jeremy was ill, and it's hardly a hardship having the beagle-bum here is it? :P

I'm so happy for you! :D

Thanks LM :) I suspected you'd volunteer ;)

I think the best way to go about this would be to set up a 'group' to send a text to if anything untoward happens, so whoever is actually available at the time can reply quickly
(I know you have other dogs in sometimes so may not have room without notice!)

Yeah sounds like a good plan to me! Hopefully you won't need to use any of us anyway :) I suspect we won't be the only volunteers ;)

Right I'm sat here getting all excited about babies when I should be on my way to Uni  Congratulations again! :)

Wow congrats Strix :D

Well I'll certainly go on the list, you know what T is like with Brude but it's easy enough to separate them if I end up a last resort!

I know I'm a bit further away but I can get to Sheffield within half hour if no one is around and you have to leave him for a short while

I know LM has posted too, but you've got my number aswell I think!!

We'll hopefully have a car on the road in the next few months, so I'd be fine with driving him anywhere if he needed it!

I'd be happy to have him as well, I drive so could get to collect him. I also only live two minutes from Jessops :)

Oh wow congratulations Strix!

I would lurrrrvee to have Brude - such a shame Gadget took a bit of a dislike to him that time at the pub :(

I could have kept them separate, but it looks like you've got a bit of a waiting list going already! :hihi:

You won't be needing my help either, quite obviously :)

I'll just join in with congratulating you then

I'm so happy for you! :D My bold

How very disrespectful of such a dignified doggie!! You deserve to be banned from having him for that! :hihi:

I'm the wrong side of town, and don't drive, but would be delighted to help out if you're reduced to barrel scraping!!! And at least we know that Zeb and Brude get on - Mina probably wouldn't even wake up long enough to notice another dog in the house and George has a strict policy of ignoring all inferior beasts!!!

Add me to the list, if you need ANYTHING over the following months you know where I am :D ... a few miles further away unfortuantly but still not a million miles!

So happy for you both, well 3! Brude is going to love the family growing once he gets used to it!

Congratulations and best wishes to you both Mrs & Mrs Strix - I think this will be marvelous for you - and the best present in the world

Hope you feel much better soon and it will hopefully be all forgotten once that little bundle arrives

Thanks everybody :)

I've got most of your numbers, so if anything drastic happens, I'll send out a RoundRobin text if that's okay with you all - I know some people won't be free at the drop of a hat, and we can work out what's quickest/best from who is able to reply first

Thanks again

Strix & Brude :)
