Makes me so angry. Why rescue 2 dogs that were unwanted and breed them to produce more unwanted dogs:rant:

Because money talks!
Because money talks!
A while back there was a post on here from a staffy owner who's vet had told her that her dog must have a litter before neutering.
Don't get me wrong, the majority of these cases are financially driven and those who are ignorant shouldn't be - imo, you should do as much research as is possible when taking on a pet and certainly before breeding from it but, lets face it - a lot of people don't and a heck of a lot of people believe what a so-called animal care professional tells them.
What sort of vet tells someone to breed their staffy before neutering when that person has no idea where the pups will go and no experience of breeding and the breed in particular are clogging up rescue systems as it is??
It's things like this that remind me why I prefer animals to humans!

How old was this vet?? Over 90?
Sounds a bit weird to me
My "Ex" vet told one of my customers that she should breed her Staffy before neutering this was only two years ago. This was a contributing factor to me leaving the practice and my letter to them was a very long one!!
I know berlingo - but vets still say it - it's disgusting. People trust vets and then they give out duff info like this!
