I'm researching our family tree, and wondered if Trevor Bates who married Jacqueline McIver in 1963 is related to Dennis and Keith Bates?

Keith S Bates born 1939,
Dennis Bates born 1941,
Trevor Bates born 1942

All born Sheffield, mothers maiden name Beatson, so it would appear so.

Hi there, thanks for replying to my message. My sister and myself have been researching our family tree for a while, we knew our dad Harold Beatson had a sister Alice who died young and that she was married to a Stewart Bates and had three children: Keith, Dennis and Trevor. This information came from my Uncle Dennis, who was their half brother. It was a shot in the dark wondering if we could find any more information regarding the family which would be greatly appreciated.

There was a lad called Bates in my year at King Teds who must have been born 1938/9.He was known as Master Bates.
