'eyup,
I live in a mid-terrace and share a covered alley with my neighbour. Having found dodgey people up to no good in our back gardens we'd like to install a lockable, wrought iron gate (like a garden gate) across our alley way.

Can anyone reccomend anywhere that sells these kind of gates,
and does anyone know if the council offer any kind of financial help with security gate-ing of this kind?

ta!

Could try Abbeydale DIY opposite oddbins they have some wrought iron gates outside and I think they can get them made up to size. Usually pretty reasonable on cost.

There's a place opposite the Arena on Broughton Lane, same side as entrance to centertainment - we've had a few gates from there, jsut can't remember their name.

It's Regency gates opposite the Arena on Broughton Lane - there's another thread on here about them. We've had one from there too and they seem pretty efficient (2 weeks turnaround from measuring to installing).
