I am an illustrator artist and am relocating to Sheffield. I am looking for a good studio space in and around Sheffield or somewhere within South Yorkshire.

I was wondering if any of you know of any good studio spaces coming avaliable, as have started to go a little crazy from working from my spare room over the last year.

I work from my small room and it's a nightmare isn't it?! Looking for an office myself!

My girlfriend rents space from the council in Heely, but that's got a 2 year waiting list. She reckons 'Block Studios' in the city centre may have something, but doesn't have their number, so maybe a little Googling may be in order?

No didnt have any success in finding a studio. All the artists studios that I contacted had no spaces avaliable and long waiting lists, some over 2 years.

So I still working from spare room.

I have a studio at Persistence Works. Another artist who used to be based here has set up some studios called Vulcan Studios. Have you heard of that? I think he may have space but don't have his no. to hand. Do you want his no?

Also, are you actually on the Persistence Works waiting list? The wait is not always as long as it may appear.

It may be worth you contacting sheaf bank business park, next to the sheaf view and behind ponsfords in Heeley.

They are still in the process of converting old factory buildings into offices and workshop space.
