i like to listen to a lot of music, but i havent really found anywhere in sheffield where i can just go and chill out for a night and see sopme music i wanna see. i was wondering if any of you know a good indie club or bar with some good live acts, or a good comedy club, or maybe somehwere where you can see some funky hip hop/IDM (ninja tune, warp, that sorta thing).

There's the Last Laugh Comedy Club at the Lescar Hotel on Sharrowvale (Sharrow Vale?) Road, apparently it's quite good. It's near the roundabout off Ecclesall Rd, right off Neill Rd.

if i were you i'd go and find a copy of Sandman for the live bands and a copy of Late Licence (a flyer-size folded up poster) which will have most if not all club nights in Sheffield.
