hi, i have been in sheffield for a year now and i am mad on raving and going to free parties, but i have not heard anything about any free parties or raves. will someone please enlighten me. cheers

Depends what sort of stuff your into and what you mean by raves - if you like Hardcore - then Uprising used to be the main hardcore night at the Adelphi - not sure if its still on??

If you're more into your techno - the Arches *was* the place - but since it shut down - different nights have gone to different venues - Planet Zogg is a good all night knees up and is next on in sept at Stars & Mayfair on Queens Rd.

There's normally free parties most weekends in summer - mianly techno or house - not heavily advertised for obvious reasons - but the Vine pub in sharrow or Lescar in Hunters Bar are good place to find out whats going on.
